Woke up this morning to a storm warning, big black clouds beckoning. Last night was our last night in a Caravan Park with the Trailer. Today we head for Griffith and although we may sleep in it our great friends the ‘Groat’ Family will no doubt make us welcome on their beautiful property.
The road to Griffith is long and flat as we cross the Hay plain and marvel at all the dust. Harry Potter gets the full work-out today as we plough through the final book the ‘Deathly Hallows’ which is kind of confusing as we haven’t managed to see the ‘Half Blood Prince’, so have no idea why, when or what made Professor Snape turn to the dark side. All these questions and more will need to be answered on our return to Sydney.
The phone calls go out late afternoon and we find the Groat’s down at Lake Wanagan having a bike ride and a few refreshments as the sun makes its way to the horizon. Other friends are also staying so the house will be a crowded one tonight.
We arrive at their property just on dark and quickly do the FINAL setup of the van. We insist on sleeping in, it may well be our last opportunity.
