School morning (to make up for yesterday), we were finally on the road at midday and made the 4hour bitumen drive to Croydon with relative ease.
Pushing 28C by late afternoon and a very long pool (25m?) at the park meant the whole family jumped in and played swimming carnivals for a time. Later, on a sunset bike ride around the town we ended up at the local railway station where to Gulflander pulls in twice weekly from Normanton. Deserted tonight, the track was covered in wallabies and the kids watched fascinated as they stared back at us. Dream pot spag tonight with ‘Chloe’ our waitress attending to our every need, then onto ‘movie’ night with Star Wars I captivating all well into the night.
Croydon Caravan Park (powered $23/night)
