Woke very early with a call from nature, but couldn’t resist sneaking back into the trailer for my camera and taking a few sunrise shots over the lake – sooo peaceful and no-one but a lone fisherman about. Went back to bed then to await my cuppa from the kids.
A full rest day today, just what the doctor ordered – no-one surfaced until about 8:45am! After a full cook-up breakfast on the outdoor Barby, a quick read of the local rag and some lovely home-made drawings from the kids, I took them fishing. Pete continued to tidy the trailer, re-packed the car and wash about 1 tonne of mud from the wheels and sides (the car is well and truly christened now!). We went through a packet of bait in about 2 hours and Toby probably caught about 50 fish (none of them legal unfortunately) – as fast as I could get them off one line and rebait he was hauling in on the other line, Chloe took over the job of cutting the prawns into size for the hooks – we had a full production line going but it seemed Toby was the only one who did any real fishing.
Pete took the kids on a bike ride around the shores of Lake Macquarie and I got stuck into a book called “Pieces of Blue”, by Kerry McGinnis (thankyou Sue Rogan!). Chloe had great fun on return going through her Gymnastics routine using the local clothes line as her bars.
BBQ fish, steak and beans for dinner (rations now running at an all time low and Woolworths Dubbo [yes Stork that one was for you] is calling me!). A further fishing stint after dinner saw not one of us get a bite, so Chloe and I packed it in early, heading for some reading and bed. Pete & Toby came home sheepishly about an hour later and all was quiet in the trailer by 9:30pm.

OK, who moved the caravan. Didn't want the regulars to know you were amateurs?? Happy travels.
