Pete up early to take the car in for her 20 000km service! No major problems and he was back before midday. I took the opportunity to make the kids do some schoolwork which has been sadly lacking of late.
After lunch we drove up the Burrup Peninsula to the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) information centre where we spent a good hour learning all about the North West Shelf and the gas they mine from the under the sea floor.
A stop at Hearson’s Cove, a pretty shell beach took care of another hour, then a quite drive to Dampier, and finally a look around a new housing estate in Karratha where houses start at $800K and rents at $2500/week!
Quick Woolies shop while kids played in the playground and we used the park BBQ’s to cook Pete’s ‘Blue nose salmon’ (caught at 80 mile beach) for dinner – very yummy!
